Apprentice Mechanical Technician

Toyota de Boucherville is looking for an apprentice Mechanical Technician to complete its team!

Task description:

The main tasks are listed below, but the apprentice technician can be assigned to other functions:

Perform the work described on the repair order with efficiency and precision, according to the Toyota manufacturer's standards;

Determine the cause of any defect and make the repair according to the standards of the manufacturer Toyota and Toyota of Boucherville;

Communicate with the parts department to obtain the necessary parts

Inspect the assigned vehicle to determine if additional safety and maintenance work is required;

Inspect and test drive newly delivered vehicles to detect obvious damage or missing items;

Notify the Service Advisor and/or Service Manager as soon as possible if additional work is required;

Install optional equipment requested by the customer or by the dealership;

Report any defect or malfunction of the equipment to the service manager;

Indicate clearly and according to established standards all work performed and recommended on the repair order;

Test drive the vehicle before and after repairs;

Participate in the training programs required to maintain the level of competence;

Keep up to date with technical bulletins as well as measurements from the Toyota manufacturer

Ensure extreme cleanliness and order in the workshop;

Maintain and be responsible for all company-owned tools and manuals;

Perform any other task as required and directed by management.

Experience required: 1 year ideally or strong will and ability to learn

SALARY: fixed by agreement, according to class

SCHEDULE: Day shift / Monday to Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
